Suggestion: Instead of e-mail notifications wouldn't mind numbers popping up to keep track of whats being replied to and navigate through the site quicker.

I think he means iOS style numbers, so things like x responses since you last viewed/posted in a thread and similar such things.

Yes thats what i mean. Just because I never know when anyone's replied to what as post on many different aspects of the site and takes quite a long time to navigate around dakka I think.

Do you use the subscribed feature? That lets you know what threads have been updated and you can skip to the first unread.

Go to Thread Tools at the top and click 'My Subscribed Threads'.
It shows every thread you have either responded to or subscribed to. You can trim that list on the right, as well, if there are threads you aren't interested in anymore.
