Got a little temple from EBay (same place as the bridge I just finished). Decided to do some minor conversions and make it into a Tea House for a display board.
The blank floor section from the kit. The material is a thin layer of foam sandwiched between thin plastic. Its pretty light but easy to work with.

Using the edge of a small screwdriver I scribed basic planking onto some sections.

Once that's done use a razor knife to score the surface. This makes the grain of the wood.

Completed you get this Floor.

Next, subassemblies and primer.

So, on to building up subassemblies and primer. In this case the floor and a set of steps.

And the building walls. I plan to paint an interior including some nice pictures on the walls.

And the roof. For paint I'm thinking Mephiston red for the corner beams and cobalt blue for the roof tiles.

In addition to a painted interior I built a small table which will be gloss black. Hopefully I can add some small tea cups, some papers, and maybe even a mini bonsai.

And when its all together you get this:

A few hours to let the primer cue and then on to paint.
