Greetings, Dakka. Hopefully I have the right forum and haven't missed a similar thread in my search.

I'm looking to convert some Chaos Spawn out of my rarely-used Chaos Terminators and green stuff (altering an army on a uni budget has its moments...), and would like to get them at least reasonably close to the "proper" size. Can anyone tell me the height of an actual Spawn model so I know what I'm aiming for? I know there's a few variants, but just a ballpark figure to work off would be great.

There is no official height, size, weight or shape for a chaos spawn. They can look like a nasty combination of absolutely anything at all. Stick them on a terminator base, justify the 3 wounds with a little mass, and go crazy with whatever you want.

Writhing mass of tentacles? Great. Floating ball of incandescent flame? Sure why not. Non-euclidean mass of shifting geometric objects? Yeah that sounds fine too.

You might get some complaints if you model all your spawn as flat puddles of slime for a modelling advantage, but starting with a base terminator model should be fine.
