I recently broke my self-promise not to join the SM bandwagon, but I found pretty much a whole company at a white-elephant stall for $30. I've got about 60 marines, 2 squads of assault marines, a devastator squad, a land raider, rhino, vindicator, a squad of termies, a couple of nought, 2 attack bikes, 6 bikes, a drop pod, 2 speeders, 4 scouts and heaps of hqs. I'm thinking about making this into a black templar company, but I have no idea what to get and field this. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Well that's a pretty amazing find.

I'd say go with 1 10man crusader squad with 4 scouts in it. a chaplain. this in a LRC
3 or 4 five-man crusader squads with a lascannon and plasma gun in each
a command squad on bikes with either plasma guns or grav guns. with a chapter master on a bike
And either a couple of dreadnoughts in drop pods. or deep striking the terminators

But really almost everything you have can be used. However, with most of the vehicles, it's usually better to use them in multiples. So if you are using drop pods, its best to use a few pods. If you are using rhinos, its best to use a few rhinos.

Right now, space marine bikes are pretty competitive either for the command squad where they get FNP and can all use special weapons, or as just a big squad with the attack bikes and your HQ on a bike. With a chapter master or captain on a bike, your biker squad becomes scoring.

But what makes Black Templar unique are their small crusader squads, their big crusader squads in Land Raider Crusaders, and they ability to win challenges.

Another way to go would be to put an honor guard with your chapter master who has a storm shield and artificer armor in a drop pod and then load the LRC up with terminators.

Awesome. I think I will buy a few drop pods and another dreadnought (So I have the requirements for a battle company in apoc). And maybe some psykers so I can ally them with my tau or crons, who can't get them.
