Hi guys,

Have a tourney coming up in a couple of weeks, and wanted to get some advice from Dakka... I'm still feeling relatively new to the game; have been in a few tournaments and done middlingly to badly, and would love to be more competitive. I'm sure my play experience has at least as much to do with it as my lists, but want to give myself the best opportunity!

What I'm thinking so far is:

I get that this is a pretty boring and cheesy Eldar list - I don't care about comp scores or list flair, at this stage, I just want to get some success under my belt...!

Other models I have available - (mostly painted, but not all - there *are* bonus points for fully painted - since I've got to finish off a few of the things above anyway, I'd prefer not to have to paint too much stuff in the next month!)

For max effect drop Wg and eldrad, take an autarch+WK and min unit of avengers to go in the serpent.

Also change the star cannons to BLs for one shot kill AA.

Hmmm. Don't have enough Avenger models to run 3 x 5 man squads, but can take Autarch with Shuriken Catapult + guardians with Shuriken Cannon in the Wave Serpent, drop all the holo fields and pick up the other Wraithknight + Suncannon, so have:

Sounds like a fun list, really... 3 Knights on the table is always entertaining... (although I haven't yet tried it myself - new one arrives Wednesday...!)

I would say, replace eldrad with a spiritseer to make the wraithguard scoring. (If possible use the Iyanden suplement so you can cast voice of twilight on the wraithguard) Change star cannons to BLs on the hunter. Drop the dire avenger exarchs, 30 pts is too expensive for a 5++ on a min squad. Use the rest of the points for chin cannons on all the serpents, exarch upgrade for one of the crimson hunters, a second sun cannon, and an autarch kitted however you like to help bring the fliers in when you need them.

Keep it this way, and have fun, also play with the eldar supplement (if you have it) and make your cannon WK your warlord for some awesome traits.
