I am looking to build an Ork Gargant and wanted to use it in an apoc game. I have used the trusty Google(TM) and found a few data sheets but all seem far out of date. I was thinking about just creating my own but didn’t want to make it under/overpowered for the points. I was thinking 1400-1500 points and be near the same power as a reaver titan. questions that have arose are: How many hull points should it have, if I use a 5+ ramshackle rule from FW should I lower the hull points, and I also like the idea of having D6 + X force fields like the big mek stompa.

To the point now, what ideas do you have and if anyone already has a Datasheet for this addition of apoc please feel free to post below.

Here is what I came up with:
1500-1750 pts
One Ork Gargant, Super Heavy Walker: WS3 BS2 S10 F14 S14 R12 I1 A3 HP18 +3 void shields.

Transport 20, Access point in the rear, 4 fire points on model

Ork Reactor Meltdown: Once the Ork gargant is reduced to 0HP all units within 4d6 Suffer a str DS hit!

War gear(body): 1 Belly gun (Range:72" Str7 AP3 Ordinance 1, Blast 3d6***) (***Roll 3d6 to determine the blast radius then roll scatter like normal using the arrow to scatter if the "hit" icon is shown)
1 Deff Arsenal (range 120" Str 9 Ap3 Heavy 3D6+d3 Supa-Rokkits)

War gear Arms:
Fist of Gork (Range 180'" str D ap2 Primary weapon 1, Massive Blast)
Teeth of Mork (Range 72" str 8 ap3 Primary weapon 2d6* large blast) (* if a result on 2d6 is a 2 the weapon jams and cannot be fired this turn, it is back up and running in the following turn, if the result is a 12 the gun spins our of control firing 12 shots scattering, the weapon is then destroyed)

+40pts Shoulder mounted grot sponsons Quad gun Skyfire interceptor 4)

Stomps is WS 4. What is your rationale for dropping a gargant to WS 3?

Its bigger and slower and does not have a dedicated CCW

Seems too puny for a gargant. No reason to drop WS. Hull points need to be more. Like in the 24 pt. range. Get WS back up to 4. Not having a dedicated TCCW should not be a reason to drop WS. "Bigger and slower" translate into an Initiative = 1. The current rules for catastrophic explosion are fine. No need to reinvent the wheel. Weapon arms arn't bad. Move main up to 10" blast. You need to get up in the 2200 point range. Some old data sheets are a good base and easy to modify.

Eldar Titan will wipe the floor with any ork titan. Ranged S: D are too powerful currently. You'll be dead before doing anything even with such enormous HP ammount. Your only hope is to fix everything with as many meks inside as possible. And hoping to roll 1-st turn.

I have an idea for weapons

Many Shootas:

Range: (36")
S: (2d6, pick highest)
AP: (d6)
Type: (Assault 6D6,)

Shots may be split between targets, to a limit of 6 per target

Bigga Gunz:

Range: (72")
S: (8)
AP: (3)
Type: (Heavy D6+3)

These would be in addition to the current weapons on the Gargant, to represent orks shooting out of doors /kannons
etc... Points would probably have to go up as a comprimise.

The only issue doing that it's it then pushes the 2500 pt range, the model I'm building is an ork gargant, one step above a stompa, on par or near par with an imperial reaver titan, at the pts were going to (2500) now we're more at the warlord titan or great gargant size. What should a 12" stompa at 1400-1750pts have as a load out so its not too op but also is not a points waste?

I think that your original idea made it basically a reaver, orkified. I think the approach of having arm weapons is a bad idea, as it's not very orky.

I think rather than go for arm weapons, have several weapon mounts around the "skirt" of the gargant, and have some larger weapons on the arms. Mostly big shootas or similar.

Isn't this just another deff arsenal basically?

Also I'm still confused about not having Arm guns, I get more in the skirt but even the stompa has a arm gun

I mean don't purely have an arm gun. Obviously have primary weapons on the arms, but also have many Deff-Arsenals with stronger weapons with that of the stompa, Ranging from kannon shots to shootas, so not just deff arsenals.
