Deadly Dire Avenger
|
Alright! Just trying to make a fairly competitive list for my Eldar. Let me know what you guys think! Farseer with Dire Avengers, and spiritseer with wraith. Illic with pathfinders... Debating taking out the hawks and spiders for more war walkers since I love the models. Maybe the wasp assault walkers.
Thanks all! Hope your day is going well.
Farseer: singing spear; runes of witnessing. 120
Spiritseer 70
Illic Nightspear 140
10 Dire Avengers: Dire Avenger Exarch (twin-linked avenger shuriken catapult). 145
• Wave Serpent: Vectored Engines; Ghostwalk Matrix; Twin-Linked bright lance; Shuriken cannon. 155
10 Wraithguard 320
5 Alaitoc Pathfinders 125
5 Warp Spiders: Warp Spider Exarch (twin-linked death spinner; Fast Shot; Marksman's Eye). 130
10 Swooping Hawks: Swooping Hawk Exarch (Marksman's Eye; Hit & Run). 195
Fire Prism: Crystal Targeting Matrix; Spirit Stones; shuriken cannon. 170
2 War Walkers: 2× scatter laser; 2× Eldar missile launcher with plasma and starshot missiles (flakk missiles). 180
1,750 points

You have 1 too many HQ's
Your wave serpent is poorly assembled. Vectored engines are not worth their points imo. T/L bright lances are not either given the alternative amount of firepower a wave serpent can dish out with TL SL, a SC, and the shield. You want the TL SL for twin linking the shield.
10 wraith guard hoofing it is a good way to march across the table and never get in range of anything.
warp spider sweet spot is 7 I've found.
Marksman's eye is a waste on exarchs.
Flak missiles on walkers is useless for how expensive it is. Better to have AA in other options.
If you take 1 Fire prism you should take 2 for redundancy purposes.

Oh wow sorry I'm slowed lol. Noob list making mistake getting carried away with my HQs... I'll go reevaluate it keeping what you said in mind. Thanks for the prompt reply! I just threw the list up on quartermaster at work... So slightly distracted with that.... Thanks though!

Executing Exarch
|
Seconding some of what deathmagicks said, but some other stuff.
Never put your farseer in a transport, as they won't be able to cast their powers. The wraithguard are a great place for the farseer to chill and hand out buffs and psychic support as needed. Runes of witnessing is nice, but by no means required.
You are one HQ over, and Illic is flat out garbage. Dropping him and demoting the pathfinders will free up a LOT of points for more walkers, since you like them(and walkers are amazing)
Vectored engines are pretty good, but avengers don't really need them. They work well in practiced hands, but better taking holo fields for basic protection.
10 wraithguard supported are very tough to kill, but do have problems getting into range. If you have the iyanden supplement this becomes a non issue as you can give them battle focus, take multiple spiritseers and get way better warlord traits. I suggest checking it out.
Warp spiders really don't need an exarch. There are some merits to a fast shot exarch with a spinner rifle, but usually you just want more spiders.
Hawks are great, but you really only need six. Exarch is optional, but if you take em take a sunrifle. Hit and run is OK if you want a full squad, drop marksman's eye.
Generally, you don't want your fire prisms close to anything, far out of range of the shuriken cannon. I would drop it and get holo fields(they synergize well with the crystal targeting matrix).
Dual scatter laser war walkers are decent AA, and much cheaper than EML walkers. If you feel light in the AT department, take some war walkers with 2 bright lances. Your farseer can guide them for extra punch when needed.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.
Shine bright like Iyanden |
