An addition arrived to the fleet today.

Any tips on using a y wing effectively? I also have a couple of b wings ordered, along with an interceptor an bomber., so any juicy tips on using those greatly appreciated!

They're on back order. Who knows when I'll get them...

To be honest, I'm kind of glad ships are so scarce - I'd have blown a fortune by now if they were easier to get hold of...

1. Don't try to fly them like an X-Wing! It's kind of hard to explain, but once you try it I think you'll get it.

2. Make use of the turret. The Y-Wing isn't very maneuverable, but it has the ability to shoot at anything in its 1-2 rangebands.

3. Use an R2 astromech! For just 1 point you give your Y-Wing green maneuvers on all 1 and 2 speed maneuvers, which helps when you've given it stress getting it out of a bad situation.

Agreed on 3. You don't want to be getting into dogfights with the Y, but if you do those greens help you get out of the line of fire (whilst maintaining your ability to shoot 360).

Ion Turret is the thing... That... and not dogfighting.

So try and stay away from others, blast them with ion from afar, and use an r2 to keep the stress off.
