Hi guys got a question to ask.

This situation happened to me a while back. My Exorcist was behind a hill and from the opponent side of the hill, only the barrels of the organ were visible. Does that mean he is able to see the tank? If he is able to see the tank, does seeing the barrels of the organ mean that he can see the front facing of the vehicle? Should I get an additional +1 to my cover save or not?

The BRB does mention that wings and tails are not considered so as not to penalize the model. Under Vehicles, range of shooting is measured to the hull and gun barrels, banners are not counted for those purposes.

So with all this information, what's everyone's view of the above situation? How does shooting at the partially hidden Exorcist resolve? It's not the only vehicle with a long barrel sticking out. The Basilisk I should think would also have problems hiding its barrel fully.

I believe you ignore the guns themselves.
Failing that, yes you get +1 to your cover save. I believe that makes it a 3+?

Feel free to correct me, anyone.

If I sound like I'm being a condescending butthole, I'm not. Read my reply as neutrally as possible, please and thank you.

Guns are not the hull. So no. Its dumb but thems the rules.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

It is entirely possible for a tank to be able to draw LOS to a unit, but for that unit to be unable to find anything "hull" to draw LOS back to the tank. In this case you ignore weapon barrels, so you cannnot see the tank.
