Hey there guys, me and my buddy are going to start using the 5th ed books as our core, and I'm going to try and fairly adapt the csm 3.5 codex without keeping it as an op monster. I was wondering if you guys had any tips or suggestions for me? I only started playing 6th ed. this last year and of course is my first and only edition I have experience with. Basically I'm completely lost and need some sort of help starting out if you all will oblige.
Secondly, I want to buy my buddy some orks as a gift. He likes speed freaks a lot, and I was wondering if you guys could fill me in on what the awesome 5th ed ork units were. He loves the vehicles.
Thanks guys.

Orks use a fourth edd codex so ur safe whatever you buy, but bikes are the best option
Also trukks/ battlewagons do well in the same lists.

Regular bikes or biker nobs; is there a difference?

Alrighty, thanks.
Anyone with some experience trying to use the old csm book with 5th ed rules? I know theres a big gap between 3.5 and 5th so I'm hoping this is doable...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Thank you for taking the time to post a reply but I'm not sure that helped me :/ I've sort of got my heart set on using the 3.5 codex for the specific legion rules. Thanks anyway
Just wondering if anyone thinks it's workable or has any experience trying something similar.

I'd actually try just straight up using the 3.5 ed chaos dex as is, due to codex power creep and point cost drops across the other armies, I reckon it would fit pretty well. You'd just need to sort out the rules that dont work with 5th ed properly and youre good to go!
