Hey guys,

Just got a great deal on some splinter cannons as I'm making my force WYSIWYG. I use Krazy glue (super glue) max bond. What's the best way in unglueing arms so I can replace with splinter cannons? Thanks!

Do a search on removing super glue, this comes up once in a while.

The most common methods are; uncure (available at some hobby stores) and freezing the model (makes the glue more brittle).

I have also found that purple power cleaner (and other common paint stripping solutions that won't melt the plastic - again, check the existing threads) weaken the glue.

best of luck!!!

Simple green will generally break down the bonds quite easily. Just soak them for a day or two and they should come right apart. This will also strip your paint of course.

Be careful with superglue debonder. Idk if it's just my luck and the plastics I'm using, but it doesn't play well with my plastics.

Try the freezer trick. Put your models in the freezer for an hour, take them out, and immediately give the point of interest a tweak. The cold weakens the glue bonds, and your arms should break off quite a bit easier.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
