Hey, I have a friendly 25 point tournament coming up soon. I have decided to field my trollbloods, but have only played against colossals something like 3 times and never at 25 points. I know that there will be a few there, I have been brainstorming to try and come up with a second list to deal with colossals at 25 points and am not quite sure what to pick. I have heard wind of a earthbreaker, hyperion, and others.

My first list will be:

Egrissel
Bomber
Impaler
Warders Max
Warders Min
Krielstone and Stone scribes Min

I have a lot of experience with this list and it will be my TAC list. But it cannot handle colossals with any degree of efficiency.

Here are my other two ideas

P Doomshaper
(Mulg)
(Mauler)
(Pyre)
Krielstone and ston scribes Min
Runeshapers

The idea being I just need to deliver mulg with a damage buff and I will be close to one-shotting it. I could use either the pyre or the mauler as bait, just one needs to live along with mulg. The list is tier 1 so the runeshapers are a point off.

E Madrak
( Mauler)
Max Warders
Max Fennblades
Officer and Drummer
Trollkin Fell Caller

All of my models here are a threat. While Fennblades with blood fury will not one shot a collossal, they should be able to open it up so that 5 dice on the charge warders can finish it off. I am leaning to this list a bit more because it is a bit more well-rounded and might be my best option against gun lines.

Any other ideas at 25 points? I realize that 25 points is pretty imbalanced and I will prolly get smashed by something I didn't even expect. I just don't wanna fall into a situation where I cannot answer someone's question.

At 25pts, if someone takes a colossal, they aren't going to have much more than that. I'd opt for Mulg + your favorite beatstick (Mauler has a good animus) and whichever caster you feel buffs the heavy hitters best.

I'm a minions guy first, and don't have my books handy. Do Slaughterhousers work for trolls? Finisher is nice....

Only a hand full of factions can use a colossal effectively at 25 pts, and most of them have better things they should be using. I think you shouldn't start really expecting colossal until maybe 35, but in all actuality 50 point games.

Legion - 35/50pts
CoC - 35+ pts

Thanks for the feedback, I will look into the slaughterhousers!
