There was a person that converted some arbites and had a great looking police van that came from a dollar store police toy kit (like one of those cheap-bag-of-toys-for-a-buck)
it actually looked great, but I cannot for the life of me find it.
does anyone recall it? or can offer some ideas on similar choices?

In the UK the pound shops have website and advertise their clobber.
Car boot sales can be good for all sorts of tatty old toys.
Also eBay, though people often over-value their stuff.

that is very true, I have found some cool stuff that way
this particular person posted a build/modeling blog, I don't remember how long ago it was, but they even mentioned the exact model of dollar store bag of toys and you could find it on amazon. It's just flown out of my head (and computer favorites)

Here's another option: http://www.miniaturescenery.com/ProductPage.asp?Code=VH3TRVPOL They also have it without the "POLICE" on it.

those are both very cool and thank you
but the one I'm looking for was a boxy van like vehicle, the person that posted it said it came in a bag of police figs from a dollar store and even mentioned a model number, with which I found it on amazon and then promptly lost it /cry
