Ok first off let me start by saying I have never used a kolinsky sable brush and am by no means an expert painter.
I have been using cheap synthetic brushes for years and it's only recently that I have got to the stage where a better brush is necessary.
So I went to my local art store and bought their cheapest sable brush at £5 something, it was some brand I have never heard of and I've got to say it was appalling, loose bristles that came out way too easy and it's point lasted all of 10 minutes. Needless to say it's been relegated to the rubbish brush pile.

Then a couple of days later someone recommended a local artists wholesaler to me, they stock royal langnickel pure red sable brushes and they are priced extremely reasonably. I got 2 brushes a size 1 and a 0 and a pot of brush cleaner and preserver all for less than £10!!!
I wasn't holding my breath as to the quality of these brushes, after my previous cheap sable experience. but boy could I be any more wrong.
I have been using them for about a month now and apart from the first time have never had a loose bristle. The point is still immaculate and would paint even the smallest detail if my brush controll wasn't as appalling as it is.

Now for people like me on a tight budget this is one expensive hobby but these brushes are perfect for painting on a tight budget.

Overall I would rate these brushes:
Price.
Quality. ( only 3 as I have never used top quality sable brushes)
