It's an interesting gimmick idea, but spending 2/5ths of your army to improve some cover saves seems excessive, remember that only those scouts within 6" get the improvement.

Also, in Kill Team there's almost always an enemy model with Ignores Cover of their own, which will chew straight through the 'Shroud's Jink.

For the points, you could get an extra five scouts and another HB.

May I suggest Company Veterans? They gets lots of neat stuff regular veterans from the other codexes don't and they are cheaper per model because they don't have Special Ammunition which just means you need to load up on awesome weapons, which isn't all too viable in regular games but makes for awesome kill teams.

And I mean really? They are a kill retrieval team. They hunt Fallen find lost Brethren of the Dark Angels Chapter and return them to their home on the Rock.

And they wear cool robes and stuff, like Dark Angels were always meant to.

It is human nature to seek culpability in a time of tragedy. It is a sign of strength to cry out against fate, rather than to bow one's head and succumb.

@Quanar: unless they have multiple Ignores cover weapons, the one should be dead before a jink save comes into play. The entire army has a 36" range so I should be to get a turn of shooting before them even if they go first (excluding the one or 2 heavy weapons that most likely donot have both ignores cover and relentless)

@bocatt: company veterans dont know of the fallen.

I like it. You *could* bring more scouts, but I kind of like the Dark Shroud better. It's got a Heavy Bolter of it's own and is BS4 rather than scout BS3 so you're just losing out on a few more bodies. The rest of your guys sitting with 2+ cover saves while you're sitting in ruins is a pretty cool concept. Plus it's really fluffy and definitely is a legit "We are most definitely Dark Angels" Kill Team vibe.

Comes down to if you can snipe their Ignores Cover guy. Also if they are running Noise Marines you're kind of boned.
