I'm just starting and looking over it I liked nicodem and what he does so I got his starter, what else should I get to and variety/ utility to the list, I would prefer to run some kind of almost horde list but definitely open to other ideas as well.

Mindless zombies are the obvious choice, though they currently only exist in 3-packs of metal. His avatar also allows you to passively summon zombies, too.

Belles are great for their points, too, so I'd suggest getting a pack or seamus's starter.

The hanged are the most expensive summon you can make I believe (only in metal), and pretty cool imho

Canine remains are cheap models that can make more corpses and become fodder when they die. (metal unless you count the single you get from Mcmourning's starter, expect they'll release a 3-4pk eventually)

That should be enough to give you some good variety.

Necropunks and Crooligans make great cheap objective runners, the are only available in metal though. The due bring different things to the table than canine remains, though. Necropunks can move 6" ignoring terrain or other models as a 0 action, so they can be alot faster than their 4" walk. This also makes them almost auto includes, IMHO, if you are taking deliver a message as a scheme. Crooligans get a free move after interacting and can provide mobile cover and a WP debuff (works great with the aforementioned hanged).

You can play Nico in various ways - as a summoner where Mortimer, dogs and the spleen removal upgrade can allow you to dig up corpses early doors to prepare for the big push and grind down the enemy with a massive hoard. You cna play him as a support bubble buffing all minions.

A wide variety of models can be hired or summoned so it's realy how you want to play him. Necropunks and Crooligans and dogs can move fairly fast and grab objectives (always a good thing), whilst buffed PunkZ's, Flesh Constructs, Hanged can beat up most things.

Belles are all round awesome for any master - pulling enenmy models into the web / blender or pulling you out of trouble.

a vulture

a pack of mindless zombies

Sounds good. Only thing I'dquestion is the belles, since you don't need to spam in malifaux so if you're considering seamus the 3 from him is plenty.

This.
If you can find a set of the metal belles on clearance somewhere, it might be worthwhile getting them, but if you are looking at the new plastics, just go ahead and get the seamus box. For ~$10 more you are getting another master, hench(wo)man and the copycat cat killer. Its nice to have multiple masters to mix it up. Some days you'll want to be the evil mastermind, conducting a horde of undead. Some days you'll want to be maniacal killer popping out of the shadows to shoot people in the face.
