Your post seems to mistakenly assume that people are familiar with whatever your product is. Maybe an introduction for those of us who don't keep up with every last garage company?
The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.
Ya don't know what SuperSystem is? Kids these days!
To be fair, it wasn't really something you could ever pick up at your FLGS - mostly it was a PDF product, with only a few retailers offering a printed and bound copy. Hopefully the new KS will change that.
SuperSystem is a fast, fun and reasonably priced super hero skirmish game with very comprehensive hero creation rules akin to what you would expect to find in an RPG. There has also been a line of miniatures to support this game, and Major Meteor is one of them.

SuperSystem is a superhero skirmish miniature game from Four-Color Studios. Super System includes one of the most versatile build systems in miniature gaming. This build system is what makes the game so fun. You can make a superhero any way you want, with the powers you want them to have, and balance it with a points system. Use any miniatures you like and personalize them with the powers you chose. SuperSystem also includes story-driven campaign rules allowing your characters to grow and change as you play. Previous editions have been available both in print and pdf.
Another thing to remember about anything comic book superhero related is that in a comic book, you can have pretty much anything. Monsters, aliens, super soldiers with ray guns or power armour. Anything.
I got SuperSystem 3rd edition specifically as a rules set to play with 40k miniatures after I got tired of GW's approach to rules. And it works great. I actually first heard of it for such use here on DakkaDakka in a Inquisimunda thread back when those first started popping up.
There are mook rules for representing squads or normal troops and the regular super hero rules work great for characters.
Some times you have to think about just how to build something to make it work in a given organization. I don't remember it off the top of my head, but I think I built an eldar heavy weapon as an individual entity with a ranged attack power that had a limitation that it could only be fired while within coherency of the eldar guardian operator.
I know SuperSystem works great as a rules set, so I'm interested in what 4th edition brings to the table.
Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
I've been playing with these figures for quite some time, and they are really solid as far as superhero gaming is concerned.
Best described as COH/ COV on the table for reals.... You can really get it on with the figures, and the game plays smooth as a baby butt as far as the mechanics. I've picked up Dungeon Delves as well that uses the same rules line, and the Superfigs line is top notch for what your looking for for superheros. There are a MASSIVE amount of figures to choose from, and great baddies on top of that, as well. ( wish you'd get in on some Longbow and Arachnos, now that COV/ COH has crapped the bed, but I'm not complaining with what is out there so far. )
Aliens, Heads in a jar, gorrillas, robots, brawlers, shooters, scrappers, mystics, etc.etc.etc.etc.....
Great skermish rules, and a campaign system that lets you get right in and start from zero to hero really fast- You have to earn those stripes in there. The figures are very well done, as well, with excellent veriety out there and already available.
They have been hammering away at the game for over 3 evolutions and have pretty much got it right out of the ball park on every book.
I am a real fan of Scotts team and they are solid earners besides.
I've gathered up my basic COV force of snakemen from the game, have a good cave system that I've used in the past, and had a couple of lvl 1's go in and kick ass on them. The game is a little rough, but you can really get a great time going in there if you plan a few good runs, and have a good force of baddies in there. My Snakemen came from Reaper, but you can add in the sceletons, zombies, cyborgs, ninjas, or whatever your wanting to. Nazis are a good punch toy for some, but there are a couple of good commie eams, and some other teams, like the gorrillas, and robots, or the super friends types, that you could have just as much fun with.
your not stuck at being mr goodie two shoes, either. Theres the head in a jar, the alien invasion, or Mr Sitting on a 50mm base, Bad Ass that you can be, as well, and if your squeally, you can use a gak load of DC clickies cut off the bases, like I did for a couple.
I've gathered up quite a bit of the stuff over from FRP, which has them on sales time and again, and really good deals on them as well. There are quite a bit to choose from, and there are established books over on Drivethru that are available at present. They have the templates, flying stands, and a batch of other goodies for free over there as well.
Oh... yes I'm a real fan of the game. Heres the teaser sheet. have a go with your own figs and see how it goes.
I want in on this KS project as well. This is one company that you can count on to get what you pledge for in a reasonable amount of time with no gak, and get a great product besides.
Good luck on the project, I know it will be a good one.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I shared them with Scott and Joe, and we were all really touched. We're glad you guys like the game and we thank you for your support!
We also think you are both going to like the newest version of Supersystem even more!
Check out our trailer for SuperSystem 4th Edition, featuring teaser bits from artist Rich Yanizeski awsome cover art, and please share it with any friends who are interested in superhero miniature gaming.
SuperSystem 4th Edition is coming to Kickstarter in April 2014! You can find out more information, and get an exclusive pre-kickstarter miniature by signing up to the Four-Color Studios Mailing list before 12:00 PM, April 7th, 2014 (the Kickstarter launch time and date).
I remember having a great time with this game back in the day. It was fun, if a little loose. It was the kind of game you had to play with people who weren't going to abuse it (much like playing any super hero RPG).
Honestly, I'm kind of excited to hear about this. Any hints on what the 4th edition is going to bring to the table?

The Origin of SuperSystem
Dullspork, here are some key, bullet-point differences with this latest edition:
-- Expanded attributes: We've moved from a 4-stat matrix to a 7-stat matrix! This creates more balanced, nuanced characters, and allows for some streamlining of powers.
-- New powers in, old powers out. Because we have more attributes, and because the rules treat attributes more like powers, we were able to remove some of the "adder" powers like Combat Reflexes, Force-Field, Iron Will, and Mental Acuity.
We've also added new powers like Force Dome and new traits like Tactician.
-- Greater synchronicity: We've synced up many rules bits so they work the same, and we've categorized and clearly defined conditions and applied them across the whole rule set. So Blinded, Immobilized, Stunned, Terrified, etc. all have clear meanings in the rule set.
-- More examples: We've added more examples of key rules text.
-- Tweaked campaign rules: We've tweaked the campaign rules to make sure they work for competitive players who also want to tell stories on the tabletop.
This is the same game system as Superfigs, correct? I played a few games of Superfigs at a convention years and years ago, and grabbed a bunch of the models. I remember it being really fun.
I really like the idea of moving some of those power effects onto the stats. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works.
I pledged for both Goal System Delves and The Department and was impressed how the rules actually got to me in a timely fashion.

Brother SRM - Yes. SuperSystem is the miniature game that was designed around the SuperFigs line of miniatures. Though you can use any superhero miniatures to play the game.
frozenwastes - Delivering on time is a big deal to us. Our philosophy is to set goals that will improve the product and that we can realize. Then we work hard to make sure we achieve them.
If previous kickstarters are any indication, there will always a PDF option. I believe shipping for my goal system delves book was $10. Not great, but understandable.
