It is to my understanding ( be kind if I'm wrong ) that the Ultramar system does not tithe Imperial regiments, but only recruits for their own planetary defence forces. The reason behind this thread is that I want to make an Imperial Guard army fashioned after an Ultramar PDF. I want to know if the PDF would be structured like any Imperial army with access to all its resources. I'm aware that the rules and codex wouldn't make any distinction, but I like my theme armies to follow the 40k canon. I could find precious little info on PDFs in General and want input from you guys

You'd probably do just fine building a standard IG army painted up in a way that looks consistent with the Ultramarines. I've seen them often done with grey cloth and blue armor.
