Im looking for scenery but can only find GW and train related items there must be a gold mine of ruins, castles, towers and other gems of scenery lurking somewhere. Have I been looking in the wrong places? and I know I can make my own but cba at the moment.

Pegasus is pretty good for their Gothic set.
If you have the time and patience, Hirst Arts do a fantastic range of cast-your-own moulds for lots of themes, from Egyptian to Sci-fi to Gothic.
If you lack the time and patience, Dwarven Forge also have pieces similar to Hirst Arts. They marry together quite well. Or you could find a Hirst Arts caster to do the casting for you - it's an expensive route to take, though.
Mantic and Sedition Wars have recently released some Sci-fi terrain sets. I've not played around with these, but from what I've read so far, the general consensus is that they're okay and will get the job done.
