I was just wondering if how knights would fare against MC, super heavy, stompas or even titans? Anyone out there played any game?

Also fluff wise have any knights taken down any titans? Of so where/when?
Finally what would you use your knight for?

I'm finally finished building and painting the knight sans gun and I'm unsure which role to set it up. Was wondering what some other people were building.

I will get one for the model itself, I love the look of it and all the things I want to do with the model and make it look cool as hell

several reasons.

1. I want a giant robot (or 3 )

2. I want to throw them at a Taudar WAAC over competitive guy and watch him squirm and cry.

3. I've designed my own version that I really want to build.

4. Cause... Its a giant robot with a big gun and chainsaw. (or giant melta cannon)

Has anyone used them well against tau or eldar?

Don't Taudar have a heap of AP1 and 2 that will make an IK cry?

Penetrating hit on AP1 is likely to cause D3+1 hull points of damage from a single shot

Fluff makes mention of one of the Houses of the AdMech reserving a special animosity for the Legio Mortis, even going so far as issuing special badges to Knights who manage to kill a titan of that specific legion. Several Knights have pulled this off.

Depends on the superheavy. If it's a weak one like a Malcador or Baneblade the knight is probably going to survive to charge, and then it chops the superheavy in half. If it's a D-weapon superheavy then the knight is probably killed before it can reach its target.

Dead. A Stompa is a knight, but bigger.

Removed from the table in a single shooting phase. A knight's only chance against a titan is to refuse to play.

And the reference to the headtakers / hunters, a specific honour given to a Knight from a house that hates Legio Mortis that takes down a titan from that legion

In game I cant think of a Titan that wouldnt happily remove 1 - 2 Knights per turn. A warhound with Double DBTLD would do (average of 6 hull points from each gun, with the 1 result more than matched by the D6+6 "6" result, and a fairly trivial / nonexistant chance of missing), a revenant would have to be lucky from memory

Remember fluff in Codex's is fluff, it doesn't have to be representable in gameplay term.

Imagine this scene.
"A chaos Titan of the Legio Mortis is fighting in a massive battle, it's many guns are laying waste to hundreds of guardsmen at a time. But then a Knight charges from behind and stabs a chainsword in though the base of the back and up. The tip of the chainsword just barely scratches the containment on the Titans Reactor but this is more than enough. And legio mortis Titans are "bashed"?

A codex exists and highlights the "ups" of a faction. That is a reasonably consistent conclusion.

Someone has to fill in the gap the lack of attention to the SoB has made.

I just finished reading a book on a knight house against a tyranid invasion. There were like 20 knights and like 5 came back almost dead. Nids seem like nightmares in the fluff but not too dangerous in gameplay. I wonder if they'll get"send in the next wave" at some point.

Well, its just for the looks factor. I'll take one for my DA army.

He already refuses to fight a proper Super Heavy. claiming (incorrectly) that they can't be killed. A giant robot would just eb funny. the worst I've seen him use are elder tank hunters (I think they were dark elder, but I couldn't tell) but they were covered by the buff commander. I have seen lances but strangly never a hammerhead or anything like that on his end. That and I wouldn't send just 1 Knight at him.... Id send at least 2 or 3.
