So I'm liking the new imperial knight that has come out. I haven't been to my FLGS lately to check one out in person yet tho.... I kinda have a silly question as i'm really unsure of the answer...

What army does the Imperial Knight belong too, I know it also has its own codex. Can it be used for any army???

Thanks Dakka, sorry for the stupid question

Imperal Knights are their own "army". They have a codex and can be fielded as either the main detachment (4-6 of them) or as allies (1-3).

As the name indicates it is an Imperial vehicle, however given it is an army by itself, the Ally rules allow it to be brought into many other army lists, enabling lots of people to have a reason to buy them.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
