Storm raven vs Fire raptor gunship?

Size, weapons and additional resin parts.

It's also STILL an experimental rules vehicle, so its rules haven't yet been locked in - expect minor changes when it DOES make it into a book.

The Fire raptor also looks about 12 times cooler than the chibihawk.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

Actually it's been published in IA2 (second edition), and the rules are pretty much identical to the experimental rules other than a typo where FW said "use the rule from the experimental version".

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

well. other than the fire raptor looking alot cooler i thought that the only difference was the side turret mounts that the fire raptor has..

if you go to chapter house and buy the storm rave extension kit then you pretty much have the same ship!
do we know if all space marine chapters may take the fire raptor ?

Those are the bits you need to convert a SR into a FR.

You'll see it isn't a small number.

FWIW the CHS extension kit for the regular Stormie makes a hell of a difference, I've got two, and regularly get compliments on how much better they look.

The quality of the kit is ok, but by the nature of the design it isn't easy to get a good finish if you're not the most experienced modeller. The main extension is four pieces that extend the front half of the hull, which then sandwich between that and the tail section, getting it all lined up and flush fitting is a challenge, but worth the result.

i realllllly want to buy up to 2 storm ravens and get the chapter house kits for them. i wouldn't say im the best modeler, but i am 25 years old and quite competent with using tools and getting things to look the way i want them to. so id love to buy these kits!

how long would you say it took you to assemble the kit from start to finish ?? and did you magnetize anything at all. the one thing i would need to make sure i did was magnetize every weapon option. i wouldn't want to miss out on anything what so ever seeing as the storm raven comes with so many weapon options.!!

I've got two magnetised CHS turrets, as I used them as Standard marines/BA I didn't bother with HBs as they're not so good without psybolt, and I always run MM in the nose.

Couldn't say how long they took, would have been done over time spread amongst various projects, but I'd guess the CHS kit added maybe an hour or so to build time.

for the storm raven im more worried about magnetizing the missile options. there seems to be so many and i dont seem to know what they each do so i kinda want to mag them all.
