After I posted the last list, I took some of the advice and rebuilt another list. Also I talked to some of the people Ill be playing with and found out they play with 2000 not 1500 so it gave me some more room to play with. So here it goes. Please let me know what you think. Ill be playing against Sisters of Battle for my first game.

Please let me know what you think, and Id appreciate it if you explained as much as possible since Im pretty new to all this. Advice on tactics would be sweet also.

(2000 pt)

My battle plan is to field the HammerHeads, XV88s, both Recon teams, XV8 Specialist team, and Marko rear guard Arty. After first round Im going to start to try to deep strike Shadowsun in behind enemy lines to cause some havok, if luck has it the kroot will also be outflanking at this time into a heavy cover position. Now the troops will start to make their way onto the board somewhere around 2-3 round, hopefully Ill have cleared most of the heavy hitters with long range fire and Shadowsuns deepstrike that these guys can hit objectives and deploy.

I know my enemy is really heavily armored and Im hoping that the Marko in combination with Missile Barrages and Rail Gun hits will be able to thin them out. The one unit Im concerned with is the Exorcist Missile launcher, which is where Im hoping to deep strike shadowsun and the XV104. Its my understanding that this unit will be toughness 6 - due to the average T of the unit, with the nova abilities Ill be able to re-roll 1s with the command link drone. I really hope this will afford some survivability while I can tie up units further down range with the specialist teams and missile barrages. . .

Any tips? What do you guys think? Let me know!

- Deepstriking Riptide/shadowsun is a waste. Why keep a super tough model with a 60" range off the table? Not sure shadowsun is necessary at all in this list really. Drop the shielded missile drones too.

- Why use body guard instead of normal XV8? They are identical in stats except they cost more.... Marker drone unit is solid though.

- Take 2 plasma rifles instead of 1 TL per XV8 Suit.

- Drop the bonding knife ritual, save some points.

- I'd take disruption pods on all fish chasis if I were you.

- Personally not a fan of Pathfinders for markers. If you want more change a hammerhead to a skyray.

The command and control node only let's you reroll 1's to hit, it does not let you reroll nova charge. If you want to reroll nova charge do this;

1) drop shadowsun and pick up an ethereal.
2) make the ethereal an hq choice for a farsight enclaves ally
3) drop ine firewarrior out of the devilfish and input the ethereal
4) plasma rifle suita will be your troops, these DO need bonding knives as per the supplemental rules
5) for the cost of two disruption pods, you can get your Riptide the earth caste pilot array. It let's his reroll nova charges, 1's to hit (including gets hot rolls for blasts), but makes him WS 1.

Other than that, I agree with the above poster on most of his points, bonding knife only kicks in when your unit is reduced below 25%. So you spent 12 points on the off chance that you can rally one or two firewarriors at their leadership... wooo.... the only reason why the FE suits need to take it is because of the rules.

Also, deepstriking a riptide will hurt you more than help. The IA has a 72 range, you can take that tank down.

Give the missile suits target lock as well as your commander. Now they all can shoot at different targets.

If you do take an ethereal, the shas'ui upgrades are not needed. The ethereal gives a 12 inch ld 10 bubble.
