Is it allowed to use bases that are bit larger for regular troops like space marines?

When i'm basing if often notice that the base is a tad to small for my model. (feet hang of the edge and stuff. Also those bases with the slot cut out annoy me.

Anyone know where i can buy bases that are a bit larger and without a slot in the middle? i'm from the EU so a EU online company would be nice.

Generally rule wise, you must use the bases the model came with. If your gaming group doesn't care though, go for it.

GW sells bases themselves.
