So a friend of mine has been really awesome as of late. I am unemployed atm and stretching money doing odd jobs. Well the other day his family needed help with some work on a car. well I'm a auto tech so I fixed it and his family paid me really well.

I have some extra dark vengeance dark angels bikes that I want to convert for him into some Nurgle bikers, however I don't know what weapons they can take. can I leave the plasma gun on the one biker.
The bikes come stock like this off the sprue :
sergeant chain sword bolt pistol- I want to swap that to either power fist or power sword
first biker: chain sword- not sure what to change to, maybe a plasma pistol
second biker: plasma gun- I hope to leave his weapon alone

So what do you think chaos players? Think you can help me add to the chaos ranks and see some of my Dark Angels become his Nurgle bikers?

IIRC you can have plasma on CSM bikes, I am at work now so I do not have my dex :/

Chaos Bikers get to choose a Plasma. Usually I've got plas or melta.

But I think it's the guys that get it, not the bike (ala scars) I think....

But two special weapons and a champion is pretty much all you get, maybe an icon on one guy of your choice.

Yeah well he is the only chaos player in my group of friends. However thank you so very very much for the typical go buy the codex response. I don't really want to buy a $50 codex that I will never play again.

Dakka is not a substitute for GW copyrighted material. We don't post points costs, or republish from rulebooks. It's a forum rule, not a matter of pissy posting.

And I never said you need to spend $50 to buy the book new. There are endless possibilities, legal or otherwise for getting the information he seeks.

Asking us to reprint a part of the codex, though, isn't going to fly here.

You can take 2 plasma in a minimum squad. You can even replace the CC weapon with it so that model could work with a bit of work.

Most people replace the bolter in the bike for it as you gain more benefit. Also most people either take a squad of 5+ or a 3 man squad and pretty much always with 2 of the same special weapon.

DV bikers make excellent conversions. You can even do relatively minor conversions and paint them as very very aged armour for "the fallen" bikers. Bike units are also one of the best units in the codex, so your friend will probably be very happy.

BTW I personally converted up a DV biker with a PF and claw and some nurglings for a nurgle biker lord. He turned out pretty well with only ~30 min of work. I recommend a small file though to remove some of the symbols.

I converted those bikers to CSM bikers op. Just remove the loyalist insignia/oaths. If he uses plasma weapons leave the plasma gun on. The two chainswords can be left as is - standard CSM bike gear. I cut part of the front fascia/windshield off as well.
