So if anyone saw my post in the 15mm Bolt Action thread you will see that I have a bunch of Japanese ready for BA. I need some suggestions on making some cheep and good looking Pacific theater terrain pieces. I'm thinking I need mostly long grass, some huts, and jungle type terrain.

Coral outcroppings and sand, if you want to do beach landings.
There are plenty of ideas and guides out there. Matakishi's Tea House is a good one. He's done some pacific/vietnam/oriental type buildings. You just need to scale down dimensions to fit 15mm

Battlefront has some Vietnamese houses that might work. And they should be on-sale for the rest of the month starting tomorrow.
They also sell some rice paddies (that will also be on sale), though those won't be appropriate unless you're planning on doing fighting on the mainland.

For the long grass you could check out any places that sell stuff for the insides of fish tanks as that would look the part, not sure how well it would scale for 15mm though it may be a bit too big!

Short grass for 28mm becomes long grass for 15mm easily enough.
Army Painter make excellent tufts, but they cost money. You could use the bristles off a natural brush such as a shoe brush.

I grabbed this example because it was easy to find. You can probably buy one much cheaper if you look around.

If you want long jungle grass try looking at a "faux fur" piece of floor carpet. Usually they come in browns but you can spray them greens. I have seen several people use them for war gaming.
Also old 40k starter box jungle trees make excellent 15mm palm trees.

You can get faux fur from most fabric shops. I managed to find a some in green a couple of years ago. Made for quite good fields.
You can also find suitable plasic palm trees sold as cake decorations on E-Bay.
