Subject: Centurion Space Marine list - 1750pts

Im currently tweaking my Deathwatch marine army into a slightly more competitive build and have decided to go for a Centurion bomb. I haven't tried it yet, but this is the list Ive come up with:
HQ:
Tigurius
Chapter Master - Relic Blade, Shield Eternal
ELITES:
Thunder Hammer / Storm Shield Terminator squad (5)
TROOPS
Tactical Squad (10) - Powerfist, Plasma gun, Missile launcher
Rhino
Tactical Squad (10) - Power weapon, Melta gun, Missile launcher
Rhino
FAST
Stormtalon - Assault Cannon, TML
Stormtalon - Assault Cannon, TML
HEAVY SUPPORT
Centurion Squad (5) - Omniscope, Grav Cannons
Total: 1750pts
The plan is to have Tigurius and the Centurions as a deathstar with the Chapter Master attached to take the ID hits as they plod forward. This unit could be made more flexible with Tigurius' choice of psychic discipline.
Another idea I had is to possibly walk the TH/SS Terminators in front of the Centurion unit to try and act as a speed bump for assaults, granted there are plenty of fast units that could circumvent them.
Thoughts?

You are very low on models, and dedicated snooty army can really give you a rough time once they kill a few centurions. My advice is throw the CM on a bike for relentless, and helping in assaults then throw him in the centurion squad. You can twin link his orbital bombardment and maybe even drop the relic blade for another grav weapon. Take out the termis, the missile launchers, and power weapons in the tac squads for an extra 290(?) points and you can add a devastator squad with lascannons or launchers that tiggy can also buff up, and maybe one more tac squad. this increases your model count gives you more shots and gives you the ability to create a gunline if need be.

Yeah, I agree with hyozanman in dropping the TH/SS Terminators - they really just don't fit well.
What are you going to do if you don't get Gate on Tigurius? Do you have a back-up plan? I don' t know that you have enough high-threat targets other than the Centurions on the board to draw the opponent's fire away so they can make it into range. A 30" threat bubble is ok, but if you're dealing with fast armies like bikes or flying/jetpack monstrous creatures, you might not be able to keep up with them. I'd consider swapping the TH/SS squad for something fast that can keep up like bikes or even more air power perhaps...
You could also consider dropping the TH/SS squad for Coteaz and psyback acolytes that score and can drive around and annoy stuff... just a thought.
Also, one more thought, consider giving the chapter master terminator armor so that he can fire off his (probably twin-linked & ignore cover lol) orbital bombardment while moving the Centurions (which you'll probably be doing a lot if you don't roll Gate).

I agree with some of the above about dropping the Terminators. Also the Relic blade is a terrible weapon the Thunder Hammer is the same points and is actually useful. He wants Artificier Armour always!
He doesn't need Terminator armour or a bike as he's already relentless when with the Centurions and you can use the Omniscope to allow him to fire at a second target. I'd consider swapping Tigirius for Loth as he guarantees gate.
The typhoon missile launcher isn't worth it on the 2HP Storm Talon keep it cheap with the Skyhammer which is about 99% as effective for 50% the cost. So that's another 30 points saved. Add the 225 from the Terminators and the 40 wasted on 1 attack power weapons on the sergeants and we've got 295 to play with.
Rhinos are good but for me in this list they are going to give up FB without armour saturation to make it worth it.
20 points get AA on the CM.
142 gets you a Buffmander. You'll need to spend 65 on a troops choice with Kroot and a Hound my advice.
10 ups Tiggy to Loth
Another 20 nets you the missing combi weapons for the tac squads.
100 Gets you a TFC or Aegis with Quadgun
That leaves 8 points to chuck some melta bombs on someone.
That way you have more scoring a Deathstar that automatically ignores cover and is twin linked. You're guaranteed gate. You have other source of ignores cover and your tac squads are more threatening.

Thanks for the replies. I should have said that I have already got most of the army built and painted, it was only the Centurion star that I was adding. Having said that Im going to switch out the powerfists on the tactical squads and replace them with combo-meltas.
I tried the army out last night against Dark Angels and while we only got 4 turns in, the Centurion unit pretty much annihilated anything they shot. I rolled Forewarning, Prescience and Perfect Timing on Tigurius which helped.
The Thunder Hammer Terminators did nothing, only 2 survived to get into combat with some RW bikers and one of them got killed before he could swing, so I am debating to switch them for either another Tactical squad or a couple of Thunderfire Cannons. But then this is dependent of me getting them painted in time for the tournament on May 18th.
So the revised list is something like this:
HQ:
Tigurius
Chapter Master - Thunder Hammer, Shield Eternal
TROOPS:
Tactical Squad (10) - Combi-melta, Melta gun, Missile launcher
Rhino
Tactical Squad (10) - Combi-melta, Plasma gun, Missile launcher
Rhino
Tactical Squad (10) - Combi-melta, Melta gun, Missile launcher
Rhino
FAST:
Stormtalon - Assault Cannon, TML
Stormtalon - Assault Cannon, TML
HEAVY SUPPORT:
Centurion Squad (5) - Omniscope, Grav Cannons
Thunderfire Cannon
Thunderfire Cannon
Total: 1750pts
Entries in orange are either or. Im leaning more for the Thunderfire Cannons to tackle horde armies and its something different to paint!
Thoughts?

T-fire cannons work better, I still hate that your tac squads have missile launchers. I personally never liked throwing heavy weapons on a squad I planned running around the field. Even if you do combat squad. But it does help to have three separate missile launcher units on the backlines sitting on objectives and shooting at stuff that bothers you.

It looks like you didn't even try to go for Gate. Which to me seems to appear your plan is for tiggy to provide divination buffs. In which case against good players with strong lists that 24" range will cost you.
For me buffmander and kroot would be the best spene of those 200 points. Ignoring cover is vital against Seerstar or any Tau death star with shadowsun. Whilst twinlinking and providing hit and run is just the icing on the cake you don't want that deathstar stuck in combat with 30 gaunts.
Otherwise 2 TFC >>>>>> than a tac squad.
