I finally found a name for my space marine chapter. err well their are two options; the ice dragons or the iron wolves. they have a combonation of the iron hands geneseed and the space wolves geneseed. what name should i choose.
I would pick the Ice Dragons, just because that you'll avoid the obvious mish mash of the already existing chapter names - and dragons are badass. Ice Dragons would have tons of awesome possibilities.

I'm not sure how you would "combine geneseeds". You have one of the other. Unless this is some sore of secret heretical experiment or something.
Aren't the Iron Wolves an existing chapter? I know I've seen that name elsewhere.
I'd go with Ice Dragons, but don't mix geneseeds, please. Pick one or the other, and if you want borrow some cultural aspects (e.g. technology loving barbarians) but mixing geneseeds is an egregious violation of canon (almost as bad as saying you're one of the missing legions) and will get you dirty looks.
If you want to be able to use the rules of either explain it in a different fashion, like maybe it's two clans that do things differently but are part of the same Chapter (one are more primitive, one is more technological), idk.

Meh, whatever. Gives you an opportunity to use them as Space Wolves if you want

acualy the adeptus mechanicus can mix gene seeds. in the fluff of the ice dragons (my chapter) they mixed a stable geneseed with a unstable geenseed. thus stabalizing it. it was also aproved by the adeptus soriatus (i probably wrote that wrong) and the high counsel of Holy Terra. I'm currently using Ice Dragons as the name for the poster-boy chapter of my fan stuff.
It is a very nice name I'll say that.

Splicing together gene-seed has never ended well for anyone involved.
The Sororitas aren't involved in anything pertaining to geneseed. That's entirely the purview of the Adeptus Mechanicus, being the scientists of the Imperium.

Actually, you're wrong.

I mean they are fine with it they dont tink its heres and their the most religous ones.
They still don't have anything to do with the testing of geneseed or the creation of Space Marines. That's entirely in the purview of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
The Sisters of Battle, in general, don't like Space Marines, being that they are genetic freaks and, moreso, jerks. Also, half of them went Traitor one day. The Sisters have not.

um, not to be rude but alot of what you said is, umm, not, realy, umm, good.
1. geneseed mixing never ends well.
2. space wolf gene-seed don't work for other people.
3. the sisters of battle DO NOT like spacce marines, at all. in the same way a nun does not like a soldier, but times 50.
i have to go but there is another problem some where i think.

The best solution would be to make them have Iron Hands geneseed and have them come from a Fenris-like world. That way you could pick and match Iron Hands and Space Wolves traits as much as you'd like.
There can be no chapters with Space Wolves geneseed except the Space Wolves themselves due to the Canis Helix. A Space Wolves sucessor was tried once, the Wolf Brothers, but it was a horrible disaster that made the High Lords of Terra decide to never use Space Wolves geneseed again.
Also, Ice Dragons is by far the better name.
Iron_Captain has the best idea behind the core idea and making it fit with pre-established game lore. You can have them be IW Successors, but the world they are from is basically Hoth. And they have horns on their helmets... because reasons.

Seems like the space wolves already have a pretty decent fetish going for technology. (at least bionics anyway). Having a successor chapter continue further along that path in a manner similar to the iron hands seems entirely plausible.
No real reason to mix the gene-seeds, since that is something that only heretics like fabius bile do.

Space Wolf geneseed does not work in anyone that isn't from Fenris. They tried that once and it went really, really badly.
Fenris doesn't have the population to support more than 1 Chapter of Space Marines, and so the Space Wolves remain as having no viable Successors.
Space wolf geenseed is tied to its home planet, and to the Space Wolves alone. The last time it was fluff wise used for others it ended in disbandment, its only expert close to cure was slain, equipment destroyed in the siege of the fang.
A unique, lonely chapter.

You go for it, the mechanicum is always mucking about with geneseed, just look up the 13th and 22nd foundings, it's a big universe and who knows what secrets different Chapters hold about thier origins?
