So I've confirmed I'll be playing against a guard player on the weekend, he uses a chimera heavy, stick back with leman russ and two vendetta's!

why foot slog Warlocks? There's no pressure. There's not a lot of power for a 1750 list. Your "deathstar" needs to deal death. If you wanna walk across the board, I think you'd be better off with 10 Wraithguard with D-Scythes with baron tanking, and psychically buffed out the ying yang by either Eldrad + Farseer or Eldrad + Shadow Council no less than 3 strong!

What it comes down to is the lack of mobility vs firepower output from your "deathstar". It needs to have at least one of those.
