Ok..... Another list for Blood Angels (1850). This one's really low on model count, but I'm not sure if the damage output is reasonable enough to counteract it. With the new Lucius Pod rules, I really wanted to see how well they do. Feedback would be great

The Dreads and 1 ASM squad drop down T1, Meph deploys in LoS blocking terrain. An interesting note, Shield of Sanguinious can be buffed by the Shrouded given by the Lucius Pod, giving it a 3+ cover save!

Anything that I would add *cough* Baal Predators *cough* would throw off the whole feel of this list because you would lose out on drop pods and be forced to deploy things on the table (because of the reserves rules) and it would be best to have them outflanking rather than deployed. And really Furioso dreads play the same role as Baal Preds so you're covered.

Like you said this list is very elite and you're going to struggle against high-av or flyer spam. Necron competitive builds will give you nightmares. And Tau of any flavor are likely to intercept you out of the sky with riptides and broadsides. Hopefully Mephiston can carry you in those cases

But against any reasonable enemies you should do pretty well!

Ignorant question of the day (just getting back into 40K after 3 years out):

Where are these new Lucius Pod rules?

And more broadly - where do I need to look to get all the new Blood Angels rules supplements since the codex that was released back in 5th? Has a new codex come out that I missed?

BA haven't gotten a new 'dex yet, sadly.

You can't assault out of a Lucius anymore, but the Dread stays inside the turn it comes down and gains Shrouded.
