Hey all! I am a newcommer to the forum and the hobby just made the commitment to take the plunge into the 40k universe this year. I've always been a fan of 40k ever since the first dawn of war came out on pc. Back then I was just a young kid obsessed with video games and didn't have the patience to paint miniatures and sure didn't have the money for it either haha. Now however, i'm older and ready for a hobby that I can truely enjoy. Video games are great and all but I am starting to get burnt out on them and want to jump into something new. Or new to me I should say haha.

I've already chosen an army. I'm going Imperial Guard. I'm ex military so obviously i'm going to pick an army that I can identify with. I plan on expanding more but right now I just like how cheap the units are and all that firepower they carry with their artillery and armor. If you have any questions for me please ask me. The main question i have right now is i keep hearing everybody talking about forge world. What is it?

Forge world is a variant of GW which provides specialised, often unique troops that GW doesn't have in store. Vets should correct mah slip ups if any were made.
