I was thinking about doing another CSM force that was had the updated look that the DV models do without my whole army being the same three models. I tried experimenting with the Raptor kit to see if it was possible and this was the result. Painted it Crimson Slaughter because I settled on that as the army I might do. I know Evil Craft has some awesome looking Chaos bits that do match the updated look but are a tad bit pricey (Roughly 60 bucks for five Marines). Just wondered if people thought the Raptor idea would work or had any other suggestions. Thanks!

Perfect man. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has thought to go this route. It's exactly what I'm going to do and it looks fantastic so I'm very glad for a preview into it, I've made a Lord using raptors and mixing in some dv bits, maybe that's worth considering for a wider variety

Thanks! The conversions are really simple. Just cut off the things the Raptors feet are on and switch out the chest/backpack. The normal CSM box is okay for what it is but converting the Raptors into regular CSM gives them a look that they are all in motion and not just standing their idle like the regular CSM box. I have not considered kit bashing Raptors with DV models as a Lord though only because I love my Kranon model and was going to use that. I was just curious if there are other ways to do this idea or Raptors/DV will be my only option.
