Subject: Can I take an Army, Allies, an Inquisitorial detachment, and Legion of the Damned detachment?

Name says it all. My friend is moving away, and were gonna have a massive, non-apocalypse battle. To me it seems legal for me to bring an army of space marines, allied imperial guard, inquisitorial detachment, and legion of the damned detachment in the same battle. Kinda want to field a whole, the imperium of man battle vs his chaos and demons army. So legit or am I missing something?

As long as none of them are Come the Apocalypse with each other it is 100% legal and 100% silly.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

I think you mean 100% awesome?
It strikes me as nothing but fitting to have Marines, Guard and The Inquisition present at a battle wherein the Legion of the Damned sallies forth as well.

It's more the cherry picking of the best bits from multiple armies that I find silly. I remember back in the day when armies had weaknesses you couldn't just take some allies to fix.

PrinceRaven,
Agreed, then throw formations on it that often consist of the best of the best from codex's...

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures. |

I am currently putting together a fairly robust inquisitional force. I will make some grey knights to be the regular allied detachment, but the rest of the army will be mini-dex and formations. I actualy really like it that way becouse it matches the fluff, lots of little units brought together from all over.

Eldar primary + Space Marine allies + Revenant Titan + Imperial Knight detachment + Inquisitorial detachment + Tau Firebase Support Cadre formation + Void Shield Generator, all perfectly legal in the same army.
