Another just for fun list, this one is built to be in your face turn 2 laying on the hurt. I've never actually played Tyranids but looking at buying some and thought I could build this and it would be at least interesting to field.

HQ:
Flying Hive Tyrant with 2x Devourers with brainleech worms

Troops:
30 hormagaunts with toxin sacs

15 termagants with toxin sacs, 10 devourers

FA:
20 Gargoyles with toxin sacs

HS:
Trygon Prime with toxin sacs

also TOXIN SACS. TOXIN SACS EVERYWHERE. WHO CARES WHAT YOUR TOUGHNESS IS? I DON'T. BECAUSE TOXIN SACS.

Another synapse node is essential i think. A Prime running up board is a big easy target, as expected. But when he's leading them troops you will get some problems.

Warriors to hide and score should fit in nicely here i think.

Buying the Tyrant wings, then making it your primary synapse gives it a schizophrenic role, as it'll be forced to babysit your ranged gribblies for most of the game.

I was thinking that the Tyrant would fly up the board with the Gargoyles and Hormagaunts while the Trygon Prime deepstrikes and the termagants crawl up through the hole.

I don't really have any ranged gribblies. Even the termagants have toxin sacs to be able to do SOMETHING in cc. The devourers are just to provide fire support, in addition to the Tprime gun, on the turn they come in. (Turn 2/3?)

Sounds reasonable, and Winged Tyrants make good anti-air. I'm a fan of tunnel assaults so I not a neutral judge of the strategy...

So I was thinking I would lose the toxin sacs and bump the ablative wounds on the term brood to 10 instead of 5, bringing the total to 20 instead of 15 and using the last 10 points to put a Prehensile Pincer on the Flyrant or the Tprime or give the Tprime a toxinspike (not sure which would be best)

Would that be a good idea?

Sure, Termigants usually benefit far more from Devourers vs Glands. You already have a Gland on Big Wormey, but you could drop that, and put a Miasma cannon if you find 5 more points....( worth a test play or two anyway...)(and it still fits your "fluf" )

a Winged Dakka'rant really doen't get much from more upgrades. But Big Wormy can use a Tail, though that puts a lot of points in one basket
