I can't be the only chaos player (or any army for the matter) who bought a Knight and felt kind of f*cked over when the new Codex came out and it said you couldn't ally with it.
There is absolutely no reason why knights shouldn't be able to fight for chaos. How difficult could it be for Chaos to corrupt a pilot or just steal one?
I know for fact that of the initial 9 knights that were sold in my local
GW, 4 were bought by Chaos players (including me, mainly because of this mail.

Hi
Thanks for the email, the rules printed in this week's issue of White Dwarf state that "They may also be taken as allies; you can include up to three Imperial Knights as a single allied detachment for each primary detachment in your army" As such any 40k army can take them as a allied detachment.
Perhaps the persuasive nature of Slaanesh has convinced a Freelance household to work for Chaos, or maybe they just pay better than the Forces of the Imperium.
We hope this helps and that you enjoy the new Imperial Knights.
I'm seriously pissed of about this because not even 3 weeks after claiming that knights can ally with about every army
GW just puts out this book that says you actually can't.
Is there any source of information that shines a light on this, maybe a future chaos knight or anything of the sort?
