so, I have the Chaos from the DV box set and I would like some help making a kill Team out of the it. I've never played kill Team before and have only just read the rules, so I'm not sure how things play out.

My opponent has these models:
Dark Angels from DV box
Venerable dreadnought
1 box of tau fire warriors

So, I'm not sure what he will bring and I know that I'll have a hard time with whatever he brings to the fight.

Here is what I was thinking of bringing:

Cultists x10: 75pt
x8 autoguns
heavy stubber
Shotgun
Mark of tzeentch

Chosen x5: 120pt
Power weapons x2 (axe, maul)
Melta bombs

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Omg that box should have been 40 cultist n no chosen or helbrute.

I would ditch the mark. More bodies are very important in low point games. I would use the Chosen as Chaos Space Marines. Your list would be something like 20 cultists and 5-6 Chaos Space Marines at that point.

I hadn't thought of using the chosen as regular marines. Anyway, here's what I got:

Chaos space marine x6: 88pt
-Just them and their boltguns

Cultists x20: 110
-Heavy stubber
-Flamer
-Autoguns x8
-Shotgun

I could drop all the gear on the cultists and then either give them the mark of tzeentch or slaanesh, so they last a little longer.

Or I could drop just the Autoguns and give the marines CCWs.

Thoughts?

Drop the shotgun in favour of 2 more autoguns, every time. I'd avoid the marks on cultists at all. Remember even if they're a little better stat-wise, with nothing but pistols they'll be dead before they get close enough to accomplish anything!

Remember that a new cultist is only 4 or 5 points. Every 4 guys with marks could have simply been 5 guys. They are not worth giving marks of Chaos, pretty much ever. The point is to flood them with too many bodies to shoot at so your marines that you make specialists will (hopefully) survive longer and accomplish their mission.

Heavy stubbers are excellent for kill team. I'd recommend bringing as many as you can. There is no point in flamers on cultists in Kill Team because the guy who's carrying it will simply get dead before he's ever in range. Better to give that to a Chaos Marine who'll be significantly more survivable.

Its been too long since I've won a match, I think I have good chance with this list.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

For dark angels woth the models he has I would do

Ravenwing squad (3) - plasma gun. -95

Company veterans squad (5) - Plasma Gun -105

Or

Dread - Dual Autocannons -120

Tactical Squad (5) Heavy Bolter - 80

Hi There,

I'd probably take the hellbrute for a kill team.

Something like this:
Hellbrute - Melta, fist
18 cultists - 9 with auto guns, champ with shotgun (for funsies), heavy stubber or flamer your choice.

Crispy

5000pts
2000pts
Nurgle Daemons: 2000pts
Lizardmen: 3000pts
Beastmen: 3000pts
Vampires: 2000pts

Except you can't. Add up the 3 sides of armor on a Helbrute (or dreadnought for that matter) and you're 34, one point over the allowed AV total value limit.
