What faction chaos faction should get it's own supplement? What would you like to see in it?

I play khorne, but I didn't vote for that because I think all the different god suppliments are equally important.
So my vote went for iron warriors. I feel like with the move towards demon engines in the current codex that iron warriors could continue the trend and do even more interesting things with the dark mechanicus. It would also make sense for them to have a superheavy, or something else particularly machine-monstrous (T8 monstrous creature version of a maulerfiend anyone?)
After that, I guess I'd say start working through the gods, and then get to the rest. Word Bearers you can already do with a combination of CSM and demons, so I'd save them for last.

That's true. I'd like to see an Alpha Legion book. The fact that no one knows what's going on (if they're even part of chaos) is really a cool concept. I'd also like to see a night lords book. I can only imagine it'd have a lot of fear based tactics.

The problem is what do you really add to a night lords or alpha legion supplement? Night lords especially. Other than saying "raptors and warp talons are troops now" and perhaps giving everybody fear, what to do?
I mean, unless you just wanted a fluff supplement like the new CS one.

When I think about having a supplement I think about the fluff being really solid. What's been going on, time lines, and named characters. I wish they'd have conversions of advice on-how-to like Forge world has in the IM books. I'd also like to see better warlord charts, special relics, and other specific faction things.
Here are some things that I'd imagine (as an example) for Night Lords.
- Raptors and Warp Talons are troops
- New/revised rules on fear
- Add on for Cities of War, Planetstrike
- New Game missions
- Named Characters
- Relics
- Modified unit rules
- Unique load outs
Just some thoughts

Ugh. I pick whatever makes you change the title to one that sheds a hint as to what this thread is about. Seriously, why do people like the "mystery" titles?! Automatically Appended Next Post: You're all not gonna like it, but none of them should get one. We've got the FW heresy series. It is and will cover these very well. Crimson Slaughter is GW telling us that it's renegades and legions that changed after the Battle of Terra for 40k. Leave the Legions to FW and 30k, they're doing a great job with them btw.

I'd go for Word Bearers. They're probably the most all-a around Chaos-y of the Legions, and I like their characterisation of trying to spread Chaos around with their preaching.

I feel like Iron Warriors are fairly fleshed out enough for a supplement. Maybe bonuses to taking down buildings like firestorm redoubts and such, to represent their siege-breaking expertise.

I think that there's a lot of potential on the classic chaos chapters. I also would like to see something like the HH books where each warband/chapter has bonuses.

How about actual rules for building each of them...in a single book?!? There's going to be a really limited market for a $40 book to give you rules just to take a bunch of Plague Marines or Berserkers, but a single book that gives you rules for several themed armies would have a much broader market, especially if the rules didn't suck

As much as I would like to say iron warriors, I'll have to go with my second favourites, thousand sons. I just feel there are more options available for iron warriors currently, whereas thousand sons are lacking.

I'll have to go for Thousand Sons, for obvious reasons. Hopefully it would include diviniation options for sorcerers, cult terminators and perhaps a portal deepstriking option when sorcerers are included into groups. Perhaps far-fetched but one could always hope for a better tzeentch power tree.
But going of the last two suplements its probably going to dissapoint in options, as TS can already be taken as troops, so it would come down to relics.

I voted for Alpha Legion.
Alpha along with Word Bearers at least fluff wise make most use of non-standard CSM types of things like cultists (I know they ahve an entry but it's quite a narrow definition for how they are used by CSM)
Personally speaking TS shouldn't as they literally are the least diverse, you're either dust trapped in a PA or a sorcerer. There is no middle ground

Other - I would love to see them bring back the Malal/Malice God in current fluff and expand upon it. Would be something fresh, if not new, to the armies of Chaos.

My understanding of Alpha Legion fluff is that they are not only not worshipers on Chaos, they make little use of power armor. I would like to see some flack armor wearing, auto gun toting space marines hell bent on the extinction of humanity. They would use cultists as fodder starting Chaos cults to weaken defenses and to use as distractions is one of their primary tactics after all.
I feel a true Alpha Legion Codex would be the largest shake up in the history of space marine filled codex's. And just to have a traitor legion limited to not using any true daemons or other chaos nonsense would be fun to see.

Alpha Legion and Night Lords probably fit the CSM dex the least. Alpha legion should have access to loyalist stuff and Night Lords don't worship chaos so they shouldn't have access to anything demonic and such. So If you want a Night Lords army that resembles what they're supposed to be, you have to invalidate half the dex. Give them something else.
Thousand Sons need something because right now they stink worse than a Medieval peasant that's been stuck in the pig pens on a hot August afternoon. Again, you can't really play 1KSons army that resembles what they're supposed to look like. Allied IG (Spiral Guard) would certainly help some.
I think a "Legion" book would be great. Chapter tactics for each of the Legions, some war gear, some FOC changes would go a long way to let players know that GW does not in fact detest Chaos.

I would really like to see a supplement with a Focus on Daemon Engines, so this would likely be an Iron Warriors/Dark Mechanicus one.
I think there is a lot of potential there. The Warpsmith in the Chaos Codex is a near miss, it's really close to being quite awesome.
I just really like Daemon Engines though!
