Deployment of the Knight depends on the opposing list and the roll to go first. Assuming I get to go first with little chance of the opponent seizing (basically, if the opponent does not have Coteaz, Imotekh, or Vect), the Knight will likely be deployed aggressively. Against a fast list, or if I'm going second, I may reserve the Knight so it can avoid getting shot off the board in the first round, or potentially clean up my backfield of my opponent's fast units.

I have 7 drop pods, so I'll have 4 coming in first turn. The general idea with the tac squads is that they will be combat squadding (5 man w/meltagun, and 4 man + sergeant) to spread the melta love. Against a heavy infantry list it'll be the Command Squad, Sternguard, and Assault Squad + Vulkan coming in with a tac squad. If they are running heavy vehicles it'll be 2-4 of the tac squads.

I chose to use the Errant since 1 large template potentially being flung near the newly dropped in squads was bad enough, I didn't want to tempt fate by having two.

I know this list has a serious vulnerability to fliers, my hope is to be aggressive enough with the drop pods so that my opponent's flyers will have to drop into hover mode (if they have it) to deal with them and that I have enough bolters to force grounding tests on FMCs that are keeping up in the air. If it's a Necron flyer list and he just decides to drop everything in my deployment zone, well, that's what the Knight is getting reserved for.

Have I missed anything here? Any feedback for improvement on this?

EDIT: Corrected the Knight type, I'm still leaving myself room to switch it to a Paladin with removing some Meltabombs though.
