A note first: The following list uses rules/units from Forgeoworlds "Horus Heresy' ruleset... Specically book one primarily, and uses the speeder variant and doctrine (The Maru Skara) in the second.
I've been out of 40k since the dawn of 5th edition, so be a little easy on this list i'm sure it's full of errors! Looking for general feedback, and all this is based off of is my general preference to play 'hammer and anvil' style with a gunline as the anvil and a fast set of hard hitting squads for the hammer. Please feel free to suggest any and all changes, this is just what came of a late night of discussion with a friend who's over in Afghanistan. The only thing i'm dead set on is having Emperors Children in the Horus Heresy!
Note: If this is in the wrong place, I deeply apologize, I looked everywhere else and didn't see a better spot!

The suggested tactics (a friend was helping me out with content from the second HH book and advice since he has played a lot more than me recently)
Gunline consists of 3 full strength tactical squads, a lascannon armed heavy support squad, anchored by Tarvitz and possibly Rylanor. tarvitz gives them counter attack if they are in the deployment zone as well. If the enemy rushes forward, I could unleash Fury of The Legion, which gives each squad 80 shots EACH if the enemy is in Rapid Fire Range. Serious band-aid needed after that!!!
The Lascannon Spam squad I could park on some high terrain since they can basically shoot board and leave them there. Hidden Blade is flexible, but I would probably use the Storm Eagle with the Termies, and the Palatine Blades. That would be a very good unit to pop in the backfield and root out units that are hiding out. Alternatively, I can use the Speeders and Jetbikes, but I picture them more as normal reserves that I think can outflank or at least deep strike.
My fast movers have a good bit of anti tank capability, so I can pop artillery sitting in the back field or tanks trying to advance on the gunline. The apothecaries can go with the Blades, termies, or tactical squads. Not sure where to put them and, though I favor with the 'anvil' units. When ready, just advance tactical squads to take mid field objectives. the Hidden Blade units will contest the back field ones.
The only thing i'm unsure of is Rylanor.. I really like and wanted a dread list in this unit, and having Rylanor seemed fluffy with Tarvitz, but I'm unsure if he will do much for the list and if the points couldn't be used better elsewhere (maybe more apothecaries and termies, or something else?).
The above, at least, is how it plays out in advance. Excuse any ramblings and thanks for advice in advance!
