(all together this gives me a 2+ 3++ save model with two wounds, three attacks and two psychic powers that will be the "centre-piece" of the army. able to deal out descent ranged damage doing absolute mayhem in close, with the chances of a lascannon killing it the same as a bolter wounding a space marine.)

- close combat weapons (10) (replacing bolt guns)

total: 1000 exactly.

so I just wanted to know what my biggest concerns will be with this army as I am very new to chaos and have only ever played a few games as space marines.

Hey,

What does MOT give spawn? I always run them with MON for the extra toughness, without a save they usually need it.

Do you face a lot of vehicles? I'd be concerned that you don't have much anti armour, flyers could cause you problems but I can't see much flyer spam at 1k.

Well first of all, welcome to chaos!

Your problems are going to be flyers, FMCs, STR 10 vs your tzeentch spawn, and simply lacking firepower. The most powerful attacks you have in your army are 2 heavy bolters. Hardly intimidating. Your army is only a matter of killing it before the end of the game.

Advice I would give? If you want to run that strategy, I would suggest spamming typhus zombies MoN obliterators, heldrakes, and MoN spawn. If thats not what you want, just make another post and I can help you further

Thanks for the suggestions.
In that case, perhaps replacing the HB and flamer of one squad with a missile launcher for the krak?
MOT gives a 6+ invuln, figured it would be useful since they have no normal save.
I don't fight many vehicles, the rhino here or the dread there but not much else, the main thing I want advice on Is what to avoid with what. I'm very new and don't know what should be trying to kill what. E.g should the spawn be trying to rush assault units or what?

Nah I'd say you're much better off with a higher toughness than a 6+ plus invuln. Relying on 6's is never a good strategy.

You also need to get that sorceror on a bike and into one of the squads of Spawn so they can be a body guard for him. As it stands, there's no way he's going to live to get into combat just walking across the board.

Ok, I want to keep him in terminator armour, for both fluff and that Marvelous 2+.
I was thinking that the nurgle-spawn would make good body guards for him, also, if I Am going to give the spawns MON then I will have to get rid of either the flamers or the ichor blood, which would you suggest?

Ichor blood probably. It's near useless unless he gets smash in close combat.

I never use spawn, are they infantry or beasts. My dex is at home.
