Hello everyone. I've already made a few posts but might as well make an introduction now!

I figured I would write a little bit actually about me. My name is Kelsey obviously, I am 22, generally pretty shy. A benefit of this hobby is I will hopefully be able to grow socially when I start playing with people.

I got my first box of Orks last year for my birthday. My friend wanted me to get into this hobby and I didn't want to buy any so he got them as a gift. I felt obligated to give it a shot so I went and got paints and a brush and gave it a shot. It was ok but I wasn't too into it. Slowly over time though I painted some a bit whenever I was bored and it started to grow on me. I played my first game of 40k about a week and a half ago now and I had fun.

Basically now I am into the hobby but still really new, I mostly just like to paint. So I have lots to learn about the game. My same friend recently wanted me to get into fantasy so here I am painting my Skaven now. Anyways I am glad to have found a helpful community since I will likely have lots of questions!

HEY!! Welcome to Dakka Dakka! It may take a minute to find out what army, and the style of play that fits you. Enjoy it, relax, no matter what age all miniature gamers have somethig in common, so when we meet it's usually like meeting with old friends.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.

Welcome to Dakka!

I've been in the hobby for a couple of years myself and I am definitely more of a painter than a player, though I maintain a ready army of space marines should I ever feel the need to take them to the tabletop.

Swing by the Painting & Modeling forum if you have any questions, there is a bunch of regulars who haunt that forum that are full of solid advice!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
