Hey guys,
My names Matt I'm 26 from New Zealand and I first started building Space Marines in 1999 at the age of 11 while I was at intermediate school. I had a small DA army but never played any games I just enjoyed building models and creating terrain pieces but I stopped once I started high school in 2001 and never touched another miniature again... Until February of this year.
I contracted Hepatitis A at the end of January and after a week in hospital I was given 2 weeks off work to rest and after couple of days I got bored and decided I would start building a post apocalyptic/ zombie apocalypse diorama using Space Marines as the earths final defense.
Well that opened a can of worms. I can't stop buying 40k bits!! I now have the money to buy all the things I couldn't buy when I was young.
I plan on creating a WIP thread on dakkadakka to document my progress in this hobby so I won't go into detail what I've done so far.
The Dakkadakka community seem like great bunch of people and I can't wait to show you all my creations and get your feedback.

I love zombies!
You should check out Hasslfree if you're looking for the more "traditional" type of survivors.
Mantics has some good zombies too, although you might want to switch their heads around.
Games Workshop has good zombies too, with the added benefit that pieces of them will scale nicely as trophies for any other Warhammer models you have.
