Hi all, exactly as the title appears.

Grapeshot: "To fire grapeshot, select a target according to the normal rules for shooting. With the target chosen, roll an artillery dice to find out how many shots are fired... Assuming that a Misfire did not occur, roll to hit the target with a number of shots equal to the number rolled on the artillery dice, resolving any successful hits using the grapeshot profile."

Grapeshot- Range 12", S5, Armour Piercing.

Nothing in the rules says to use the Multiple Shots special rule which is where the -1 penalty is found. Am I correct in saying that since it is not called out to use the specific rule, that I simply roll on BS along with any Cover modifiers, but do not have a -1 penalty for multiple shots?

Many thanks.

No, only weapons with the Multiple Shot special rule suffer that penalty. Its not a general rule that whenever a weapon fires more than 1 shot it suffers -1 to hit.

Strange, I was just reading the Organ Gun rules in the new Dwarf army book.

It states the Organ gun never suffers the -1 to hit for multiple shots. But that doesn't have the Multiple shot special rule either. Why would that be there?

Might have been an intentional addition to prepare for changes to the shooting rules in 9th edition... Or it could just be GW being GW.

The write redundant rules all the time. This is currently acting as a reminder.

When your opponent starts to complain that your army is overpowered and you look down at your Beastmen army book and smile to yourself, your doing something right
