Venomthrope used to give cover to any units but now the new codex is using the word models.
Does that mean that a venomthrope standing near a group of 30 gants will only give shroud to some of them? Making them less usefull for swarm armies, but great for MC ones?
Or was there some official word about it?

i believe it is any units who have at least a single model in range

Any model with in range has shrouded however shrouded confers its bonus to the whole unit.
