Hi there, I will be making the move from New Zealand to Preston in England in a few weeks and would love to know what the wargaming scene is like there? I Play 40K and Warhammer Fantasy, and am looking to join a club.

Hi Rob. Preston is pretty much in the centre of a few clubs and lots of players.

There is a club in Preston called Ribble Warriors - don't play there myself but know a few of the guys. Really nice bunch. Plus another club in Southport, just a way away on the coast. My old club - The Lost Boys.

I play 40K with my big White Scars army and am happy to have a game whenever.

Probably a good place to look for clubs in the area is The Warhammer Forum as it lists all the local clubs in its 40k section.

Hi other Rob! Cheers for the info, yeah I saw the Ribble warriors page but It doesn't seem to have any recent posts, maybe an old page or something. Any current info on them would be greatly appreciated .I know there is a games workshop in Preston too but I think my army has too much scratchbuilt stuff to game there.

There are a couple of clubs in the Preston Area. Ribble Warriors that has already been mentioned and Red Steel Gaming in Preston who are based out Harlequins HQ I think

Then after that you have WarpdragonGaming in based in Blackpool and St Annes and Iron Fists Gaming based in Thornton

If your ever in south manchester there is more than a few with Manchester Central, Stockport and altrincham all having thriving communities.
