Hey all, I've got a Tyranid question for you. Here's the situation, I deep strike a Mawloc and miss the enemies troops and cause a mishap. I roll a 2 or 3 and the enemy gets to choose a new location. Can my opponent choose to have it place over my own units since that placement could cause another mishap? The BRB says that the opponent may place the unit in a valid formation without scattering. Terror from the deep says "... If after scattering the Mawloc is over a unit...". To me it sounds like you can't. Any and all thoughts on the subject are appreciated. Thank you.

No, as you are not deep striking, but being placed. You cannot cause a mishap from that result.

Nosferatu is correct, the Mawloc has already been deep struck so the opponent has missed the timing to use Terror from the Deep.

You know what really bugs me? When my opponent, before they show up at the FLGS smears themselves in peanut butter and then makes blood sacrifices to Ashterai by slitting the throat of three male chickens and then smears the spatter pattern into the peanut butter to engrave sacred symbols into their chest and upper arms.
I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

"Long ago in a distant land, I, M'kar, the shape-shifting Master of Chaos, unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish Grey Knight warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me. Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in space and flung him into the Warp, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to real-space, and undo the evil that is Chaos!"
