I have a metal Space Marine Marneus Calgar, Lord Macragge left over from when I first started this hobby as a child , and subsequently gave up for quite awhile.

I completely butchered him when I was younger, but I have his right arm, which i think is incredibly awesome.

I have never played a game, I really enjoy the building / painting. But would like to play a game should I ever finally feel my painting is quality enough to actually finish something.

My question is, can I use this arm in building a Blood angels captain, and would it be acceptable for game rules?

Also, is the icon on his right shoulders strictly ultramarines? Its a two headed eagle holding a laurel with a skull on it.

So should I remove his right should icon and replace with something more blood angelsy? or is the current one completely fitting?






edit - this question is irrelevant, i lack the modeling skill to do this, as his shoulder is much larger than a normal shoulder pad, ohwell

Well, also, just because Blood Angels have their own iconography doesn't mean they've abandoned thhat used by other astartes. Aquilas, laurels, skulls, all sorts of things; they are all just as valid on a Blood Angel as they would be on, say, a Salamander or an Ultramarine.
