Simple question that i can't seem to get an answer to.

What glue can i use to stick KR foam together? Only a small bit as i had a full length foam section of the 36 slots cut in half and i want to put an end bit on the one section as it has no wall. (hopefully that makes some sense)

UK only replies though please. So we don't get brands mixed up, and i can just shoot the brand into ebay and pick some up.

On my search i did manage to find "hot glue" recommended. I don't want to buy a glue gun as they're too expensive for using once in a while. They are available for like £6 posted, but they'll probably explode on me within 5 minutes.

Thanks in advance.

I use 5 minute epoxy. You'll always be glad you have a tube of that on hand.

Alternatively try hobby tacky craft glue

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

I cut a whole FoW tray up to resize the compartments for bigger models.

I stuck it all back together again with hot glue. I used a cheap as chips hot glue gun from Hobbycraft.

Yes, I know...not from the UK...

I normally use 3M 74. Both work well enough on the soft foam used for figure cases. Be sure to tape off areas you dont want glue strings on. The bond is pretty strong, I use it for gluing down all the foam cut outs for my tool boxes.

We call it FoamFast over here. Called Scotch Weld over there

Looks like i'm going to buy one of the cheap nasty glue guns. Not ideal, wanted some PVA like glue but for foam in a tube.

Our throw away society really annoys me. All these plastic sprues too.

Thanks for the replies all.

Personally, I'd use Evo-Stick contact cement.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

I have used rubber cement to great effect on several types of foam. Just follow the directions, be patient, and make sure you have some ventilation.

Well you can use your old sprue and new glue gun to make some terrain.

Seriously, sprue doesn't have to be a waste product. I've used it for movement trays, rubble, timber joists on scenery, and cut into bricks for scenery.

Toss the sprue in a good food processor, and you have basing material to spare... as to gluing foam, have you tried rubber cement or contact cement?

I have a growing collection of sprue. One of these days I will turn it into one of these:
