Was thinking of starting an Iron Hands force. Here is what I've come up with so far

(HQ) Master of the Forge - 90 pts

(E) Ironclad Dread w/ (2) HF, drop pod - 180 pts
(E) Ironclad Dread w/ (2) HF, drop pod - 180 pts
(E) Ironclad Dread w/ (2) HF, drop pod - 180 pts

(T) Tactical Squad (10) w/ ML, grav-gun, drop pod - 200 pts
(T) Tactical Squad (10) w/ ML, flamer - 155 pts
(T) Tactical Squad (10) w/ ML, flamer - 155 pts
(T) Scout Squad (5) w/ (5) sniper rifle - 60 pts

(FA) Storm Talon w/ skyhammer missile launcher - 125 pts
(FA) Storm Talon w/ skyhammer missile launcher - 125 pts

(HS) Storm Raven w/ lascannons, multi-melta - 200 pts
(HS) Storm Raven w/ lascannons, multi-melta - 200 pts
(HS) Thunderfire Cannon - 100 pts

(Fort) Aegis Defense Line - 50 pts

2000

Storm Talons will be escorting the Storm Ravens so the flyers don't come in piecemeal. Tac squads will be combat squading and the 5 man with the grav will be in the drop pod with the MotF. Thoughts? I feel like it has a good mix of air/anti-air, anti-armor, and anti-infantry, as well as decent mobility and the ability to wreak havoc in the enemy deployment zone.

I must say I'm not a fan of drop-podding they come on out of range of any support.
Also, I'm more of a fan of venerable dreads as the 1 point armour difference is worth the reroll in my experience. Ymmd

I like your idea of the multitude of tactical marines. It gives the enemy something to shoot at but I differ on the flamer and the sergeant.
Why not give them a plasma gun that is much more effective against high armour enemies.
The dreadnoughts I'd definitely put a flamer on but your tactical squads, I'd get some plasma in there to pierce that enemy armour .

I have no experience with storm ravens but storm talons I agree with 100% I use them myself and they perform well.
I use LotD instead of your storm ravens and they perform very nicely. Ignoring cover and getting 3+ invul's can come in very handy.

To summarise:
I'd take a conversion beamer and put it with a combat squad of tac marines behind my aegis somewhere (long range S10 AP1 blast ) besides, the MotF is not a real character for close combat.
I'd drop the pods I don't have a good experience with deep striking dreads. Get them all a long range gun and get them venerable that's 4 dreads for your 3 right there.
For the rest I don't really have experience with storm ravens and thunder fire cannons so won't argue with them.

To explain my perspective: I used 2 dev squads with 4 plasma cannons together with 2 Motf with a conversion beamer. This means that the enemy only has a very small corridor where your enemy is safe namely between 36-48 inches at the most.
Those s10 ap1 blasts are very likely to hit and when they hit they hit HARD. Plasma cannons are also very nice as they cut through power armour and tanks with ease. The flamers are a must on the dropped dreads but I'd not drop them at all. Maybe 1 with some flamers but not more than that.

@P3rtu4bo - Pods are awesome really. I use them in any list at 1500+ 100% of the time and often in smaller lists. Especially useful for Ironclads (Which I would take over Venerable dreads any day of the week).

@MisterPerkins - Why the MotF? If you're not taking dreads in elite AND/OR heavy slots, what is his purpose? Putting him in a drop pod with some Tacs is almost like giving your opponent Slay the Warlord points.

Do not give Tacs grav guns. You want them on Bikes or Centurions. One grav in a tac squad is overcosted and underwhelming. Since you're putting that squad in a pod, take a Meltagun instead. And then give the Sgt a Combi-Melta. That gives you 3 melta shots on the drop and 1 continuing melta shot which will perform better than the Grav gun on a mobile unit.

As for the rest of your list, I would probably drop one of the Ravens and put your tacs in Rhinos. I'm also not sure why you're using Iron Hands when their biggest strength is Vehicles (mind you, the 3 ironclads benefit which is nice). You might also want to fit in another Drop pod so you have 3 coming down T1 instead of 2, then the other 2 rolling reserves. Alternately, get rid of the Tac pod and put them in a Rhino instead.
