As I was collecting my Sisters army and preparing for adepticon I realized that a lot of my army is painted different colors. With all the varying paint schemes, limited paint because being a college student, and not a lot of time should I just keep the existing paint schemes and paint what I want? It'll look awful on the table, but will reach 3 color minimum. Thoughts?

Group squads based on color, and tell your opponent to deal with it. Fix it for next year if you don't have time. I have no idea how close it is but don't strip if you don't need to just yet.

Just say they are a union of different groups. My old imperial guard where like that and my current one has mercenaries and xenos that arent painted like them. Its fine and if you are happy with it keep it. After all beats repainting tonnes of models.

Yeah, if they don't look particularly cohesive you may not score well on presentation, but other than that it really makes no difference.

Honestly unless your going for painting awards then I would worry to much about it. Just have fun and work on it for later.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Covens may be the worst possible term to use seeing as how it is linked to groups of witches and their codex was previously called Witchhunters. They do have different orders though just like knights with different color schemes, black/red/white being the most common.

Yep. This.

I've got 1000 points of Eldar and 1000 points of tau I still have to finish.

They'll be getting a pretty basic 3-color plus just so they're done.

Says the guy who wins painting awards and teaches seminars lol ;p. but seriously it'll be good to see you Alex, pumped to see John as well.

@OP - But seriously it's not that big of a deal unless you care about it. If you are ok with it I guarantee no one is going to have a problem.

I just did 1.5 all day painting sessions this weekend. Are they done? Nope, but I think they look good and I can try and fit in some detail work in between getting all my work done and prepping my friendly list. for transit.

People who stopped buying GW but wont stop bitching about it are the vegans of warhammer
